Solutions For The Savvy Advertiser: Ad Coopsby Donesia Muhammad Copyright (c) 2002 KDM Publishing
When you start to research the many ways that you can promote your products and services, there are various ways to do this. You eventually come upon what seems to be a new concept but it actually isn't.
Advertising Coops
Advertising Coops have been around for a few years now.
Advertisers have always known that there were ways to advertise to multiple ezines for one low price.
The concept is relatively simple. If you are looking to advertise
in multiple ezines, the cost to purchase ads in each ezine
individually you can easily run up hundreds of dollars pretty
quickly. Not good for the small business owner.
Instead of spending hundreds trying to advertise in many
different ezines, you can send your ad through an ad coop for one low price and your ad can be seen in all the ezines associated with that coop.
In exchange for this help, most ad coops require that you
subscribe to the participating ezines.
Some ad coops will also allow you to submit a free ad in exchange for your subscription. Others don't require a subscription in order to have your ad seen. There are various coops out there to suit your advertising needs.
Ad Coops have gotten a bit of flack lately. After a new service
has been around for a while, sometimes certain aspects get
neglected and therefore you think that it will eventually be
abused.
I'll let you know how to get the most out of your advertising
experience with coops and I'll also show the publishers who
participate in these coops how they can come out on top as well.
Tips For The Advertiser
If you do not want any ezines to come to your main email address then I suggest you use a separate address so it doesn't interfere with your business mail.
I do not suggest you use any type of free or throw away address because if it bounces, you can be removed from the participating ezines and therefore your ad will not be seen.
Check to make sure if your ISP uses any type of spam filter. This may prevent any ezines from reaching you and therefore your ad may not run. Nothing drives an opt in publisher more crazy than spam filters. Check first. If it has one then I suggest you use another email address to be on the safe side.
Please have your ad already formatted according to the guidelines that the ad coop owner has specified. We are publishers, and time is very limited if we have to spend the time editing ads all day.
Publishers are grateful for your subscription and will in turn
give you a quality ezine. You do not have to remove yourself as soon as your ad is run. They actually do have something
worthwhile to read.
Don't be alarmed at how many welcome messages you may receive. Before you place your order look over the ezines that you will be subscribed to so there are no surprises. No need for any spam complaints here.
Tips For The Publisher
Don't treat this as a free ad. They have paid to place an ad in
your ezine. I understand that you are not the coop owner
therefore the profits may not have gone your way. But you fail to realize how much of a benefit this service is to you.

Valuable Subscribers who want to advertise.
Treat them right and you will have a lasting relationship with
that advertiser.
Besides you never know who that advertiser is. Just because they use their ISP address doesn't mean it isn't a guru in disguise.
So you didn't think that you could get all these benefits from
one service huh..
Ad coops are not as bad as you think and they really have good deals to help you save money on your advertising needs. Plus you will also get yourself in touch with some valuable ezines to help you become a better Netpreneur..
