How To Recruit, Retain And Increase Agent Productivity With Your Real Estate Listing Magazine

by Carol  Johnson

The creative use of Real Estate Magazines provides a powerful recruiting and retention tool that is frequently overlooked. Real Estate magazines have the power to attract and reward productivity as well as publicize career opportunities.

Consider using your Real Estate Magazine in some of the following ways:

Retention 1. Purchase a full-page ad for top producers when they hit a spectacular production number. Use part of the ad to promote their success and the other to promote their listings.

2. Reproduce the ad on large post cards for mailing to the agents center of influence.

3. Mail the promotional post cards to prospective recruits telling them that this is part of your agent recognition program and another reason they should affiliate with your company.

4. Encourage agents to incorporate the promotional ad and post cards into their listing presentation.

Recruit

5. Place ads with friendly informative recruiting information in your Real Estate Magazine. Frequently people interested in buying and selling are also considering real estate as a career.

6. Include copies of your Real Estate Magazine ads featuring agent promotions in your Recruiting Book and PowerPoint presentation.

7. Feature Rookies with success stories in your Real Estate Magazine Ads. Distribute the Real Estate Magazines at career events and invite the successful rookies to speak.

Agent Productivity

8. Use free ads in the Real Estate Magazine as a reward for contests, monthly production winners or for agents who get more than five listings a month.

9. Promote community activities in your Real Estate Magazine and have your agents distribute copies of the page as a promotional flyer in anything they mail.

10. Promote your Real Estate Magazine on your web site. Invite people to call their favorite agent for a copy, pick up one at an advertised open house or the office nearest them.

11. Use your Real Estate Magazine to document your firm's competitive position in the market place. Always reference the source of the information and how it is documented.

12. Give each home featured in your Real Estate Magazine its own web page to advertise the URL.
